The magazine, Harvard Business Review, writes, and I have verified, that these are today's true keys of a boss who:
Guides the individual employee, not just the team.
They have a vision, they inspire, they make goals and clearly explain the reasons for the chosen strategy.
They focus on constructive feedback both directions in regular coaching discussions with individual employees.
They listen and they don’t only speak, they motivate their employees to formulate potentials problems and they suggest their solutions.
They are consistent in their opinions while also being open to change.
I will also add that integrity is extremely important, both words and actions. Nobody can take a boss seriously (or any person for that matter), who acts differently than what they say.
