Most importantly, stay a woman and do not try to become a man! Or rather, to become one of the guys. Women like this can be thought of as a bit of a joke to men. What women should actually be doing is making good use of their feminine attributes. Be elegant and charismatic. Dress fairly feminine, preferably in dresses and skirt suits, but not provocatively. Don’t be aggressive or arrogant. While in conversation, don’t cut anybody off and don’t speak with a high voice. I have experienced that men appreciate it when somebody is good in their field and they let everybody else know that they do their job well. Man or woman. It is ideal when the woman knows her field well. That is why it is important for us to do the work that we enjoy and to always keep learning. And it is mainly good when a woman makes use of her capabilities in an area where men are lacking. This is often the case in the area of, so-called, “soft skills” - listening, problem solving to the satisfaction of everyone, communication, and negotiation.
Men appreciate when women know how to do something that they themselves don’t and what could actually help them at the same time.
Be authentic, self-assured and aware of your qualities. Admit your mistakes and appreciate the qualities of others. And ignore the perspective of those men who have prejudices.
